The state of Texas regulates GAP coverage as insurance. This means that the retail premium is set by the Texas Department of Insurance.
The other states currently served by RVIS do not regulate GAP coverage as insurance, therefore it is known as GAP Waiver Protection.
GAP insures or waives the difference between the loan payoff of a covered vehicle and the physical damage insurance settlement in the event the vehicle is involved in a total-loss event, such as benefits payable up to policy limits. |
